Biography
Concettina (Tina) Tolomeo, is the Senior Director for Patient Access at Yale Medicine and a Nurse Practitioner in the Department of Pediatrics. She completed her undergraduate nursing degree (BSN) from Southern Connecticut State University where she also completed her graduate studies (MSN in Nursing Administration, Post-Masters Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner, and MBA). Tina earned a Doctoral degree (DNP) with a concentration in Clinical Leadership from Case Western Reserve University. She holds certifications as an Asthma Educator and Family Nurse Practitioner. Tina joined the Section of Pediatric Respiratory Medicine at Yale in 1995. Tina’s academic and clinical interests include but are not limited to asthma, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, cough, inhalation therapy/devices, general pediatric pulmonary medicine, patient access, and patient self-management. Tina served on the board of the Association of Asthma Educators (AAE) for seven years and received the AAE Outstanding Service Award and AAE Asthma Educator Award. Additionally, she has lectured and published on a variety of topics related to pediatric pulmonary medicine.
