The Cheng laboratory studies the action of antiviral drugs against HBV, HIV, EBV, and HCV, as well as the discovery of antivirals with unique mode of action against those viruses.

- Globalization of Chinese MedicineChina; Hong Kong 2008Professor Yung-chi Cheng of the Yale School of Medicine has been working with the University of Hong Kong, Peking University, Tsinghua University, and a number of other prominent Chinese institutions to form a Consortium for the Globalization of Chinese Medicine. The Consortium brings together a network of academic, industrial and regulatory agencies to advance the field of Chinese medicine.
